Summer’s pretty much over, I’m heading back to Scotland for my final year of university in under a week, the weather’s getting colder and fall/winter fashion collection’s are out.

This summer flew by – two months in Italy and two months here with NYBoy’s family (with short trips to Pittsburgh, Washington DC and Dallas and daily weekday commutes into the city!).

Here are the ten songs that were played and replayed the most on my iPod this summer while we roadtripped, sat on planes and trains and chilled at home:

It’s official, I have the words from the summer’s most irritating song stuck in my head.

Since I now have lots of free time (minus a couple of hours today because I have to go in to the office to say goodbye to everyone!), I’ve been site surfing a looottt + playing lots of free one-hour game trials.

One of my new favorites is I Am A Greedy Girl; it’s a blog almost entirely devoted to the stuff she wants to buy, and I’ve found we have very similar tastes in clothes and shoes, so it’s now my secondary online window shopping source – after Shop Bop. I am so excited to be going to New York in under a week, and meeting up with Sidra there, who will undoubtedly be a much more patient shopping partner than NYBoy!

She’s only staying for a few days and we have to do touristy things in the city, as well as clocking beach time on LI and driving over to the Tanger outlet stores. Does anyone have any awesome recommendations for shopping in NYC or the Oceanside, LI area? EMAIL ME!

I’m going to have to learn how to channel my thrifty side because I’m in New York for almost two months, and running out of money = running out of fun, and potentially very distressing situations involving seeing things I want a lot (read: need) and not being able to afford them.

I’m also thinking of getting my hair done at Bumble & Bumble’s downtown salon, because I loved it the last time I was there and I promised I was going to come back soon, as a thanks for my hairdresser shoving handfuls of individual hair leave-in treatments into my bag… they’ve run out now, so I have to go back right?

I love this, it’s NYBoy’s favorite Lady Gaga song – or maybe it’s just because I play it all the time and he picks up on the lyrics.

Anyway, now there’s a video for it and I showed it to him and he thinks it’s VERY weird, but I like it.

I know it’s old, but I didn’t bother watching the movie when it was new and it was on TV tonight and I LOVED it.

I loved the soundtrack just as much as the movie itself.

Now that the semester is over, I have nothing better to do, so I watch a LOT of TV and daydream about summer. I even sat through the whole of Alien vs. Predator, that is how much free time I have.
