TOMORROW!
We’ve decided to go at the right time, it’s the middle of Fashion Week, although the place we’re staying in is pretty far out so I’m not sure we’ll see any of the action – unless I convince the boys to actually go looking for it.
We miss Ne-Yo by one day (performing on the 26th) and we miss MetroStation by a day (performing on the 3rd, the day we leave).
But shops are open all the time… YAY! I want to go to the Miffy Store.
And check out Amsterdam clothing stores, because clothes shopping is ALWAYS fun.
I have to remember to recharge my digital camera before we leave, and fully charge my iPod for the plane ride… and try to stuff my favorite ugly doll into my bag.

So I have spent all of the last week studying Arabic, and woke up early this morning to keep studying for my oral exam; only to be emailed at around 9 that the exam had been canceled.
WHAT?
First I was ecstatic.
Then worried, because how else are they going to make up the 20%?
Then slightly peeved because apparently it’s being moved to next semester, which means I’m going to have to spend my semester break in Amsterdam continuing to study Arabic (so I don’t get rusty), while the friends I’m going with get to chill out, because their exams are over! Not good.
So to cheer me up a little, because this change of plans has compleeeteeellyy thrown my plan of forgetting about university completely for a while after my last exam tomorrow – I’m ordering overpriced Japanese food.
And tomorrow to cheer me up even more after my last (until beginning of next semester) exam, I’m going to try out the Phytospecific hair relaxer that I got at Sephora, because blowing out my hair everytime I wash it to get the kinks out takes up too much of my precious, precious time. I could be watching TV instead.
I’m thinking of trying out Baked’s recipe for Sweet and Salty cake tomorrow after my exam too. I LOVED Starbucks’ christmassy salted caramel hot chocolate, and the recipe sounds like it’s cakey sibling.

In case anyone was wondering, this is where I got NYBoy’s birthday cake recipe from! It was the yummiest cake I have EVER made, and so worth the effort. Although next time to avoid having one very hefty cake, I might use round cutters to make little personal layered cakes instead.
I’m supposed to be studying for exams, but having a week in between my 2nd and 3rd exams has made me lazier! NOT GOOD! My last two are Arabic exams, and seeing as third year Arabic is the hardest subject I’ve ever taken, me being lazy is not a good sign.
I lost weight, and I’m now 43kg. Don’t ask why, I don’t know?!
Tonight I’m making meatloaf with potatoes and spinach on the side.
Right now, I’m going to get out of bed, get dressed and do some study for a change.
I wish I had some of this:
Mmmmm….
