The exams so far…
I HATE EXAMS. With a passion. So I’ve only had two so far, my arabic oral exam and my arabic written exam. I came out of the latter one feeling so utterly defeated. I’m not great at languages but that was the worst exam I’ve ever sat, we’d been doing short stories all semester and when it came down to exam revision I had absolutely no idea what I was supposed to have remembered and what was insignificant in terms of vocabulary. I have a ridiculously high average from my coursework pieces but they only count for 40% of the course and I’m really panicked!
I don’t have another exam until Friday, so I’ve been revising a lot more calmly for the next one, but I know I need to do well on that too (management) because arabic and management make up my joint honors modules. If it weren’t for my large supply of chocolate and my daily mini-treats I don’t know how I’d keep everything up. I love the concept of mini-treats. It means everyday I get to go out for my staple drink of green tea, or I get to binge on chips and cheese or I get some other random treat that to everyone else seems significant but I’ve found that if you make it seem like a big treat in your mind then that’s what it seems like regardless of how little it costs.
Yesterday I had raspberries. I ate so many raspberries I’m surprised my skin hasn’t turned a dark shade of pink.
Apart from studying, I fit in a little bit of Sims everyday, a daily phonecall to Matthew and a lot of time with NYBoy who is studying just as hard as me.
And before I forget; thanks to everyone who emailed me about Marie on OkCupid using my pictures for over a year! I emailed them and got no response, but someone else emailed them with an attached picture of me holding up my ID and the accounts been taken down. If only I could get Friendster to do the same with people on there using my pictures, but they seem to ignore ALL of my emails.
I can’t wait for this semester to be over. France better get ready. I got my one piece Juicy swimsuit in the mail and despite it being a little tight (okay, I’ve gained a few) it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. I’ve never been to France.
Back to studying. Revision period is bad for me, I roll out of bed into my jeans and whatever’s lying around each morning (I’ve NEVER worn my jeans for so many days in a row, I usually switch between jeans and skirts at least every two days…), clean up, put on a little makeup (because nobody can concentrate without the right amount of makeup) and spend lots of time procrastinating and the odd hour of actual studying.
Hannah needs a break.
