Dear fellow webgeeks,

In the two months that I haven’t posted (yes, TWO MONTHS!), things have changed so much… I don’t even know where to begin.

I am no longer engaged, although contrary to popular belief this isn’t something I wish to mourn over, or wish anyone else to mourn on my behalf. It was a good decision because I think we both came to the realization that it wasn’t the right time for any of this with Matthew on the brink of graduation and entering the working world and me being tied down to St Andrews – a town with no graduate job opportunities. Not to mention his mom hates me so much and the things she said to me in Spain hurt me a lot more than I thought, I’m not mentally strong enough to fight that kind of hatred the rest of my life. So that’s that.

Matthew’s spent the last ten days with me in St Andrews and we’ve been readjusting to being just bestfriends and it’s gone really well and I think this is the most sensible decision we’ve ever made about us as a couple, even though it probably wasn’t the happiest…

I was really sad for a while, because it’s a pretty big deal and I really thought that it would have been my little fairytale ending, but I know this is what’s best so I’m handling it.

Every cloud has a silver lining though, and with the end of a chapter of my life I get to start afresh! And no new beginning would be complete without new hair, new makeup and a whole new me. I’m not going to drag negative feelings about the break up with me as I continue doing normal things, so I revamped everything and from this point on, everything is new.

NEW HAIR!!!! Exciting. I decided to go short again because my hair was just SO heavy and I kept accidentally eating it when I put food in my mouth. Hair doesn’t taste good.

And I got a new Babyliss Pro curling iron too I ordered it before I cut 5 inches of my hair off, so I’m not sure how useful it will be, but it’s a nice new toy to play with.

My laptop is still dead. It’s somewhere in Germany and they wont even start repairing it until I’ve faxed them my consent… which I’ve tried to fax numerous times and they claim to have not received yet. This makes me mad.
