It’s been a disastrous couple of weeks; my laptop died (and was supposed to be picked up to be sent to Germany but is still in a box on the couch) and my phone died (gone to O2 repairs but I haven’t been sent a replacement yet). Matthew’s been having exams, so I don’t want to bother him by asking to use the laptop to blog and check facebook because he needs it to study. SO I’ve been spending time cooking, cleaning, fussing and generally using these few weeks as domestic goddess training, and a little Wii.

Exam results are starting to trickle out and so far I’ve done well enough to get onto the honors path but not as well as I did last year, which makes me sad but seeing as I didn’t even take my books out of my bag over Christmas in Morecambe and Spain – my grades are probably exactly what I deserve.

I can’t upload ANY of my holiday pictures because they were all on my laptop!!!!!!

But I got new jeans, and they actually fit me. I have such a hard time finding jeans here, I’m a UK size 6 or 8 depending on the style but mostly a 6 and trust me that is HARD to find in the tiny shops in St Andrews and Loughborough.

Matthew’s in his final exam and tonight I think we’re going to celebrate by going on a movie date! I have wanted to see Cloverfield for ages and ages and I think now that we’re both exam-free we’ll be able to fit it in! I’m demanding it be a proper date and we both have to dress up and be excited, rather than it just being a trip to the movies. I try to keep to my pre-relationship standard in terms of appearance most of the time, but I haven’t actually made myself up properly to go out with Matthew in a looong time, so this will be really fun.

It hasn’t settled in yet that he is now my fiance! My ring went in for resizing and was sent back because they said it wasnt possible to resize it without the diamond on the inside popping out so now they have to order a new one. Except H. Samuel doesn’t even produce rings in my size (G, kiddie fingers) so theyre having to order one in a size bigger (H) and then I have to come in and try it and if it still slips off too easily then we have to send it back and size it down by a half size because that’s the most they can do. Such hassle.

I miss my laptop and phone Having one die was bad enough, without both I feel a bit useless.
